Do I need chiropractic treatment after a work injury?
Yes! Chiropractors can examine and treat you, work with your insurance company and any already-involved medical physician or Occupational Health Center, and you do not need a referral before starting. Oregon Worker's Compensation Law recognizes Dr. Hacmac as a Primary Care Physician, so any injured worker can begin recovery with us.

Immediately after a work injury, it's common for an injured worker to be referred by their employer or supervisor to an Occupational Health Center favored by their employer. While this may be an effective place to start your case and get treatment or referral for skin and tissue injuries, they generally don’t address tissue injuries to the muscles, spine or joints, beyond prescribing drugs. They also often recommend an inappropriate time loss or work restrictions program for these soft tissue injuries.
Other times, a condition such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or Over-Use injuries develop over time. If these conditions can be related directly to a work activity or chronic exposure they can be recognized as a compensable Work Injury. Chiropractors are experts at starting and treating these types of cases.
